Greetings WagonCon Family,
We appreciate the feedback that we received via the survey we recently published. Based on that feedback, the current restrictions, and the State’s vaccination plan we have decided that we will be unable to safely put on WagonCon this spring. While we had sincerely hoped to gather with our WagonCon Family and enjoy gaming in person again – we simply cannot feel confident in our ability to keep everyone safe in a convention setting. And, while we deeply enjoy our time together, we must put safety concerns first to ensure that we can have many conventions to come after Covid-19 is a reduced threat.
Currently, we are exploring options for having a limited virtual convention around the same time our in-person event would have been. There will be more details about that in the coming weeks as we work through what that would look like.
Additionally, we remain hopeful for holding Camp WagonCon in the fall. Though there was interest in postponing our May convention to the fall, we felt that we would be unable to put on two quality conventions that close together – with our belief that WagonCon 2022 will be able to take place in May of 2022. While Camp WagonCon is a smaller event, it allows us to still provide some opportunity for an in-person event while keeping our main focus on the larger convention setting for May 2022.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to navigate these challenging times. We wish you and yours health, happiness, and good gaming.
May the dice always roll in your favor,
WagonCon Board
